Home, Sweet Home
Dublin Core
Title
Home, Sweet Home
Description
Striking examples of a suffragette's "HOME" if they have any home.
[Produced as propaganda for the anti-women's suffrage campaign. This example of anti-suffragette 'hate mail' was sent to the headquarters of the Women's Social and Political Union in Lincoln's Inn. Addressed to 'Miss Pankhurst and Her Crew', it expresses a commonly held derogatory view of suffragettes as 'unnatural' single women without homes and families. The sender has added a comment on the front of the postcard emphasising his/her disapproval of the campaign: 'Striking Example of a Suffragettes Home, if they have any homes'.]
