SPP at the Florida DH Consortium

Madison Veeneman, Allison Duque, and Juliana Leon, all USF English majors, conducted feminist digital humanities research on the Suffrage Postcard Project during AY 2018-2019. As part of their research, they helped curate the digital archive of suffrage postcards.

Their research culminated in a conference panel, chaired by Professor Kristin Allukian, at the Florida Digital Humanities Consortium Conference in Jacksonville, FL, on March 29-30, 2019.

Madison started off the panel with an overview of project, Allison talked about digital tagging and methodology, and Juliana closed the panel with a discussion on digital mapping and next steps.

The three digital archivists are currently exporting their research for data visualization to explore what digital methodologies can newly contribute to U.S. women's suffrage history.
