There is a group of individuals standing in close proximity of each other looking directly at the individual. the majority of the individuals are women. There are approximately three men in the group. Some of these individuals are wearing capes. One of these individuals is holding up a sign with the words, "Votes for Women, Grimace, New York City."

[Image: Photographic postcard of the group of suffrage hikers who took part in the pilgrimage from New York City to Washington, D.C. which joined the March 3, 1913 parade held in Washington, D.C. the day before President Woodrow Wilson's inauguration. They were led by New York suffragist, Rosalie Jones, who they named "General Jones."
